Dutch Sjoelbak

Dutch Sjoelbak are hand-made from Poplar, hardy Oak and finished with a natural Tung oil.  Sjoelbak is easy to play and is a favorite with youth centers, clubs, and private homes.

 


How to play
Each player is allowed three attempts to score 30 discs by sliding them through the gates. In each attempt, discs that did not score earlier are used again. See example.

Discs
The discs are slightly concave to insure a smooth, controlled slide. The Beechwood discs are machine-crafted in the Netherlands.

Shipping
The Sjoelbak is shipped by UPS, or DHL in category OS 2 (oversized). Shipping can range from $35 for locations nearby to $70 to areas on the West coast.

Game objectives
Three attempts constitute one round of play. The highest score is achieved by landing an equal number of discs through each gate. A game can be played individually, or in teams with any number of players. See scoring example.

Sjoelbak is a game of skill that will excite the entire family. Sjoelbak has been a popular game since the 1600's when Dutch fishermen played the game on deck while waiting for their nets to fill.
